A few of the players collecting litter along the highway at Hlane Game ReserveFollowing a National Team training session held on Saturday morning at the UNISWA sports ground in Kwaluseni, the players made the long drive down to the Hlane Game Reserve to pick up litter along the highway which cuts through the reserve.

Following the amazing 98-0 defeat of Carolina by the Swaziland Presidents Select in Carolina South Africa, loose forward Marias Uys was voted Man of the Match. Team Captain, Mark Pocock said it was difficult to select one player as the whole team played extremely well, but Marias stood out for the whole ninety minutes.



Malindi Dlamini was chosen as the Swaziland Rugby Union player of the tournament at the recent Sasol 7’s held in Secunda South Africa. Sevens coach Michael Nann said the Man of the Tournament was a difficult choice to make, but Malindis work rate and commitment on the field and the fact he scored seven tries made him the best player for the award.

Balengu Nyungwe better known as “The Beast” to those who know him tackled his way to Man of the Match against a strong and hard Reunion side in the CAR Castell Beer Tournament held in Gaborone Botswana. SRU President Michael Collinson said Balengu put in huge tackles for the whole ninety minutes and stopped many of the Reunion attacks from scoring.

Thape Dlamini took the Man of the Match award in Confederation of African Rugby Castell Beer Tournament game played against Mauritius. The Tournament took place in Gabarone Botswana and saw Botswana (the hosts) Swaziland, Mauritius and Reunion pitted against each other.

Muzi Dlamini was voted Swaziland Rugby Union's "Player of the Year 2003" In Muzi's ten year rugby career, he has received the award on three separate occasions.
