Following the visit to the Kingdom by ex All Black number eight Zinzan Brooke and representatives from Touraid, the Swaziland Rugby Union were informed that Sidvokhodvo Nazarene Primary had been selected to play in the Abbey Touraid 7's tournament to be played at the Allianz Stadium in London. The tournament will be played on Saturday March 29th. SRU President Michael Collinson said he was delighted that Abbey Touraid had selected a school from Swaziland to participate in the tournament.

 

 

It was announced today that Sizeze Eswatini would be taking on Lesotho in an international friendly to take place in Lesotho. The date for the game has been confirmed as Saturday February 22nd. SRU President, Michael Collinson confirmed the fixture. "After lengthy discssions with the Federation of Lesotho Rugby, we are pleased to announce that Swaziland will play two games against Lesotho.

 

 

 

Following several meetings between the President of Swaziland Rugby Union and Bob Lekan, President of the Botswana Rugby Union two possible dates have been put forward for the two 2013 Test Matches between the two unions. The first Test will be played in Swaziland on Saturday August 31st. The secon Test will be on Saturday September 28th in Botswana.

.Preparations for the up and coming CAR tournament to be held in Rwanda have begun. Players were called to national training last weekend. The training sessions will be held at the Kwaluseni Campus sports ground. The CAR tournament kicks off on June 1st with four countries participating, Burundi, Rwanda, Swaziland and Tanzania.

The Swaziland Rugby Union have received an invitation to participate in the 2013 CAR Africa Cup Division II East rugby tournament to be played in Rwanda in June. Four countries have been invited to play in the tournament, host Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania and Swaziland. "We are delighted to have received the invitation to play in the CAR tournament and to be back playing international rugby" said SRU president, Michael Collinson.

Sizeze EswatiniThe Botswana national side, the Vultures proved to be too good for Sizeze Eswatini at the weekend. The seconf Test Match in the two Test series was played at the Mavuso Sports Centre in Manzini. A good sized crowd were in attendence to witness this the first home game for Sizeze in six years.

The First National Bank logo will be on the front of the new jerseys.The jersey will be worn on Saturday November 24th for the Test Match against Botswana.

Following the final training session for the national squad held on Saturday at the Kwaluseni Sports Ground on Saturday, the Rugby Union coaching team met on Sunday to select the twenty two man squad to face Botswana on Saturday 24th of November at the Mavuso Sports Centre in Manzini.

Following lengthy discussion between the Swaziland and Botswana Rugby Union's a date has been agreed upon for the second Test Match to be played in Swaziland. The new date will be Saturday November 24th and the game will be played at the Mavuso Sports Centre in Manzini.
