Referees

The SRU held a one day Touch Judges Workshop this week. Participants were invited from the clubs within Swaziland. Head of Coaching and Development, Michael Dos Santos said "With the number of games being played on a regular basis, there is a need for referee's assistants, so we will be running similar workshops throughout the year"

The participants at the World Rugby Level I Referee's WorkshopThe SRU held a World Rugby Level I Referee's workshop last week. World Rugby Referee Educator, Burton Hufkie facilitated the workshop. Seven participants attended the workshop held in Manzini.

.The IRB Referee's Trainer, Burton Hufkie made the journey from Durban to Swaziland to hold a IRB Level I Referee's Course. Four potential referee's were invited to attend the course.

Thursday February 14th the Swaziland Rugby Union will be holding a IRB Level I Referee's Course in Manzini. Eight candidates have been invited to participate in this the first of two IRB Level I Referee's courses planned for 2013. IRB Referee's Trainer, Burton Hufkie will be facilitating the course which will be held over three days.
