Callum Oliver with some of the players who bid him farewell yesteday.Callum Oliver who has been here in the Kingdom for the past six months working with the SKRUM Programme and coaching clubs and Sizeze Eswatini, the national side has returned home to the United Kingdom.

Callum Oliver, Mhlengi Mghabi and Robbie Thomas with the delivery of kit from LV-SOSKitaidThe UK based charity LV-SOSKitaid made a delivery of rugby kit to the Kingdom this week. The kit will be used for the SKRUM Programme and the SRU's Schools Rugby Development Programme.

At the end of the 2014 TOP16 U/19's Inter Schools 7's Tournament played at the Enjabulweni sports field in Manzini. Lamawandla High player, Buhle Matsebula was voted Player of the Tournament by the tournament officials. Tournament organiser, Callum oliver said "Buhle stood out throughout the whole tournament with his tackling, running and handling of the game. Every official put Buhle's name forward"

Dvokolwako High players lifting the TOP16 2014 trophyDvokolwako High were crown TOP16 2014 champions on Saturday after beating their closest neighbours in a thrilling final played at the Enjabulweni sports field in Manzini.

 

 

Sizeze Eswatini in BotswanaThe national side returned from Botswana this morning after competing in the Confederation of African Rugby south 2014 tournament played in Gabarone Botswana.

Four schools converged on Enjabulweni High School this week to play in a invitational 7's tournament played at the Enjabulweni rugby field in Manzini.

The national rugby side departed for Botswana this morning where they will be taking part in the CAR south 2014 international rugby tournament to be played in Gabarone over the next ten days. Whilst in Botswana, Sizeze Eswatini will play Botswana on June 15th, Nigeria on June 18th and Mauritius on June 21st. National team coach Trevor Carmichael had the follwing to say before leaving. "This will be a very hard tournament and a huge learning curve for all the players in the squad. To play three games in six days is a big ask of any player.

Sizeze EswatiniIt was a great day for rugby in Swaziland on Saturday when the national side, Sizeze Eswatini defeated the Lesotho national side the Stallions. The international friendly played at the Mavuso Sports Centre in Manzini was the second of two games to be played by the ywo countries in 2014.

 

SKRUM volunteer Robbie ThomasSKRUM volunteer Robbie Thomas arrived in the Kingdom today. Robbie will be here for eight weeks working with SKRUM and assisting with the SRU's Schools Rugby Development Programme.
