Scorpions Sting Titans 85 - 30

Posted in:

The ScorpionsSunday saw the Titans from Luyengo make the long journey down to Nhlangano to take on the Scorpions. Making the trip down to Nhlangano Titans captain Phasika Dlamini was full of confidence and said his team was ready for the Scorpions challenge. The Scorpions on the other hand remained silent about their chances and coach Thulani Nkomo kept quiet only revealing his team before they took to the field.

From the first whistle the Scorpions played like a well oiled machime with marvellous ball handling and straight running lines. The Titans seemed to be lost and couldn'tget together to play as a unit. Halftime saw the teams go in for the break with the score 40 - 15. The Scorpions started the second half with a bang, running in four tries in ten minutes putting the Titans on the backfoot and reeling in shock. The final whistle couldn't come to soon for the Titans who ran in a further three tries but never looked as if they were in the game. The praise must go to the well drilled and disciplined Scorpions side who throughout the game kept their structure composure.
