The Swaziland Rugby Union today announced the plans for the first Club Rugby League within the Kingdom.  Vice President, Sibusiso Nkambule made the announcement today.  "At this moment in time we have five Rugby Clubs who have expressed an interest in the new Club Rugby League structure.  These Clubs are, Ngwenya, Titans, Rhino's, Eagles and the Vondo's."

"Having played Inter Club games over the passed two years and achieved great success, the Rugby Union were approached by one of the Clubs with a proposal to implement a full Club Rugby League.  With more and more adults joining the sport, it is important that we hold regular games to expose the game of Rugby to more and more Swazi's, but more importantly we need to create a competition structure to keep players both old and new on the Rugby field.  We have just introduced the game of Rugby into the both the Police and Correctioanl Services Colleges.  Add these to the William Pitcher and Ngwane Teacher Training Colleges and you have a huge number of possibe new Rugby players who will want to play the game on a regular basis.

We are looking to roll out the new Club Rugby League during the month of April" said Nkambule.
