.To date the Swaziland Rugby Union have signed up twenty three schools to participate in the up and coming TOP16 U/19's 7's Rugby Tournament. Head of Schools Rugby Wilson Dlamini made the announcement yesterday at the Rugby Union offices. "The response from the schools has been really positive with twenty three schools contacting me and committing to playing in the tournament...

We will be holding 7's coaching workshops at three separate venues throughout the country on dates yet to be confirmed over the coming weeks to assist coaches in improving their 7's coaching skills. The TOP16 tournament will be a great opportunity for all the young players to show off their rugby skills to the SRU coaches and selectors. Looking at the raw 7's rugby talaent we have in Swaziland, the SRU feel we need to put together a 7's Rugby 'Talaent Indentification Programme' SRU President Michael Collinson will be personally running the new programme and he has great expectations for the future of 7's rugby within the Kingdom" said Dlamini. The TOP16 7's Inter Schools Rugby Tournament kicks off in May.
