It has been along and difficult road to get the fixture back on the calendar, but everyone at the Swaziland Rugby Union from executive members, officials and players are pleased and excited the Swaziland v Botswana Test Match is back on the rugby calendar. I must say a huge thank you to everyone involved from both the Swaziland and Botswana Rugby Unions for their help in bringing back the fixture. The first rugby game between the two countries was back in the 70's. The first official IRB recognised Test Match between the two Rugby Union's took place in Gabarone in 1998. The Botswana Rugby Union have requested that the fixture be played on a home and away basis and with this in mind we are looking for a date later in 2012 where will play the home fixture hopefully at the Mavuso Sports Ground in Manzini. Local players now have a pathway to play international rugby and represent Swaziland at the highest level in rugby" said Collinson
