The Swaziland Rugby Union will be holding a IRB Level I Coaching Course on Friday October 7th at the Manzini Club. The Rugby Union have invited each Rugby Club to forward names of their candidate to attend the coaching course. Head of Coach and Development, Naomi du Pont said "The IRB Level I Coaching Course is a part of the Swaziland Rugby Unions ongoing Coaching Development Programme...

By the end of 2011 we are looking to have trained and accredited thirty IRB Level I coaches and have these coaches out there in Swaziland coaching rugby not only at the various rugby clubs, but also assisting Teacher/Coaches at schools within their area. In order to grow the game of rugby within the country we require trained rugby coaches who have the knowledge and skills to coach every aspect of the game. We have held many 'Beginners Guide to Rugby' workshops followed by the 'Rugby Ready' workshops. During the workshops the Swaziland Rugby Union development coaches identified coaches who would like to take their rugby coaching career to the next leve. We have seven attendees for the IRB Level I Coaching Course to be held on Friday, with many more coaches waiting for further courses. The interest and commitment is there, we now as the Swaziland Rugby Union have to train these future coaches"
