"The Vondo's have a strong 7's & 15's sides at open and U/19's level and one of my main aims is to keep the Vondo's first team on a winning path and develop the younger players. The Vondo's have great team spirit and support from the local community. We need to get more and more players, both male and female playing rugby within the Malkerns area" added du Pont.

Rugby Union President Michael Collinson said he was delighted with the decision made by the Vondo's to put Naomi in charge of the coaching at the Club. " Naomi is dedicated to coaching at all levels and the coaches at the other rugby clubs within the Kingdom could learn allot from Naomi. Her strength will be in the development programme the Vondo's Rugby Club have put in place. The depth of players in and around Malkerns at all ages is remarkable and a testament to the clubs vision for the future" said Collinson.

du Pont first game in charge will see the Vondo's take on the Bhunya Wolves this weekend at the Kwaluseni Sports Ground.
