With the schools opening on January 18th, the Swaziland Rugby Union's Schools Rugby Development Programme 2011 kicked off on Monday January 24th 2011. SRU President Michael Collinson said he was looking forward to a very exciting year of schools rugby. 2010 was an amazing year for schools rugby with the highlight being the tour to the United Kingdom by Lutfotja Primary School who were the winners of the Attie Lombard U/12's Inter Schools Tournament.

 

 

 

 

 

2010 saw schools playing the game of rugby double in number with tournaments being held at U/16's, U/14's and U/12's for both boys and girls. The Swaziland Rugby Union held twelve Teacher/Coaches Workshops during 2010 at various venues throughout the country training over one hundred and ninety teachers. 2011 will see the SRU train over two hundred Teacher/Coaches with workshops also being held for Linesmen and Referee's.
